Sun Safety — Social Campaign
INSTAGRAM ADS + HANGING MOBILE + GAME DESIGN
This is a social campaign which aims to urge adolescents to put on sunscreen, by proving the strength of the sun through debunking three myths.
A metaphor is drawn between the “predator-prey” relationship of a monkey and banana and the relationship of the sun and humans. The sun causes harm to us the way a monkey harms a banana.
A hanging mobile/brochure and sticker to be placed in MRT cabins. Many banana man stickers will be stuck on the floor and seats, while the hanging mobile is put on the handlebars, as if the monkey sun penetrates a cloud trying to grab the bananas on the floor. This corresponds to the sun reaching humans even on cloudy days.
A jumping banana game where players have to help banana man get to school safely by running away from the monkey sun. Players can collect “powers” which may be either helpful or harmful. Activating these “powers” induces a pop-up which debunks the myths about sun protection and rewards them for being sun-safe.
